Dock at 08.00AM for full day visit to The Lake District

returning to Liverpool docks for 06.00PM (1800). 

We shall travel north via the M6 motorway to the Lake District National Park, an area known as Cumbria.  Our route takes us via Kendal to the town of Windermere on Lake Windermere.  We can take a cruise on the lake from Bowness to Ambleside, and then on to Grasmere to see nearby Dove Cottage, home of William Wordsworth.  Then enjoy a scenic ride through the Furness Fells to the Old Man of Coniston, Coniston Water and on to Hawkshead.   Continue to Sawrey, where Beatrix Potter’s Home can be visited.   Countryside drive back to the M6 and return to Liverpool Docks.
